After his six-year-old daughter and her best friend are kidnapped on Thanksgiving, small town carpenter Keller Dover (Hugh Jackman) butts heads with young, brash detective Loki (Jake Gyllenhaal) in charge of the investigation. After searching, Dover's son mentions an old RV, owned by Alex Jones (Paul Dano). Feeling failed by the law, Dover captures Jones, the man he believes responsible, holding him captive in a desperate attempt to find out what he did with the girls, whom he's convinced are still alive. But the further he goes to get the man to confess, the closer he comes to losing his soul.

I like the cast but idk....movie seems boring and predictable, unless they find them dead.

this is getting Oscar buzz now

the movie is apparently awesome and you can't really tell from the trailer what the movie is really about

I'm in :hat

Anyone see it?

I'm trying not to read too many reviews in case there are spoilers. Will be seeing this Sunday.

This looks pretty damn good.. I'll catch it eventually. Seems like a movie Fincher might do.

I like how gyllemhaal is named loki and is a detective with that weird haircut.

I seen it tonight...joint was aite, it really didnt start to pick up until 3/4 in.

Terrance Howard lives in my hood; it's weird seeing him regularly at the grocery store

for whatever reason he always stayed here in the burbs of Philly; in high school he was always know as that guy in the Ashanti video :lol

Good movie.
Watched last night.
Dont let the run time fool you.
Movie goes quick… very suspenseful and gripping.
Psychologically more "scary" than Insidious 2 I watched last week.

This movie was way too long and drawn out. I dozed off about 3x. It reminds me of Silence of the Lambs but it's really not a great movie. Lots of talking...not much suspense. Wait for DVD.

word lol

For those who have played the game "Heavy Rain" for the PS3, it is very similar. Dark and gritty, suspenseful and psychologically thrilling. The ending was not predictable, in my opinion. As a matter of fact the ending upset me  Could leave the door open for a second one but I'm not sure what direction they could go in sequel

Saw it the other night. This will probably be the scariest flick you've ever seen if you're a parent
