I still cant get my internet to load up the game settings on this game
it just loads and loads.... I tried unpluging the router and all the restarting methods but nothing

i had that problem a long time ago.
it has something to do with your ip address not being stable.
if you haven't done so, you should connect to your ps3 via wired connection and NOT wireless.
and even that could be a problem in itself.. goodluck?
