To think this man battled cancer in silence while making some pretty damn important films is absolutely amazing and heartbreaking at the same time. The inner drive you gotta have to grind it out like that is something to marvel at. Unbelievable.

Whether he shared his battle and diagnosis is unknown to me. It’s a very personal thing and if treatment has no impact beyond yourself, I understand not sharing it with anybody other than family.
