I think both Kendrick and Cole can rap. Kendrick is just entertaining while doing it. And he has good production.
I like more Nas albums than Jay albums.
I like more Jay features than Nas features.
I skip way more Jay songs than Nas songs on an album level.
They both in my top 5 and 444 was impressive cause Jay’s previous albums weren’t good.
I would say
Jay albums > Nas albums
Jay features >
I skip a lot more Nas songs
Life Is Good is Nas only good album in the past ten years
but Illmatic >
You can be a bad rapper and a great entertainer, so I'm not going to use that as a differential between the two.I think both Kendrick and Cole can rap. Kendrick is just entertaining while doing it. And he has good production.
The end of that song though>Cole doesn't consistently deliver top tier material. ***** can drop verse of the year candidates but then make **** like Foldin Clothes.
Hov only got 1 good album in the last 10 years as well
Also, Stillmatic > Illmatic
Blueprint 3 was a good album.
Cats fronted on it like it was Kingdom Come status, but it was not a bad album.
Said by no one
The production isn't even close
I don’t think I would ever intentionally listen to DOA, Empire State of Mind, Young Forever, Run This Town, On to the next one, etc
Def some hits on there but not for me
FACTSYe or his writer outclassed Jay on Run This Town and Wayne owns the beat after obliterating it, so it's technically not his song anymore.
