Shameless official thread Vol. Don't even know what season they are on.

Yeah, I think it's time for the show to go. It's hard to look at the show in this setting compared to The Chi. You ask yourself, how do these two different shows exist in the same space, even though they're not connected, and you look at Shameless and be like "nah". I know it's a comedy and all and you suspend disbelief a bit, but after a while it just doesn't jive.

I see no dip in quality at all.

Its just some of yall don't like some of the characters. Thats always been the case though. No different than Fiona hate
 
The dip in quality definitely happened 3-4 seasons ago but these types of shows run their course.

I'm pretty sure by the 6th or 7th season of the Chi it will have ran its course

Didn't like this episode. The abortion storyline bugged me. For the first time ever I was like "C'mon man" with this show. It's pretty outrageous, but even for this show, that was nonsensical.
 
I think I'm done with Shameless. They doing way too much now and being way too heavy handed with the social and political commentary.

It was a nice run though.
 
Frank still undefeated. Another L for Paz.

I hope the house in Wisconsin falls through and Lip ends up staying. He's my favorite Gallagher not named Frank.

Debbie so damn stupid. Should have let the girl threaten to commit suicide. Then no one would believe anything she said after that because it'd just be another "cry for attention "

Mickey turned in to bridezilla.

Lip is like the opposite of Fiona. Doesn't know how to move on.

Debbie just living some dream life. Her mother×daughter porn fantasy falls through and randomly asks to smash the next lesbian.

Frank actually thinking the house is haunted :lol:

Liam actually missing his dad. He young but he needs to smarten up.
 
Can't believe the finale snuck up on me like this :lol: Gotta say while a good season a lot of nothing happened and the emotional stakes were low.

Just never gonna care much for the Ian character. Liked what happened with Carl and Debbie the most.

Lip's ups and downs are back. Son drinking again cuz he doesn't want to live in Milwaukee and start a life with his girl and kid. Son is just a failure to me. Use to be my fav character.

Word. His arc in the early seasons looked like he was gonna make something of himself and Fiona was the one who was going to be stuck in that situation forever. He was getting paper taking exams in high school for others, got perfect scores on SATs, got full ride to college, had a bad shorty with a lot of family money. He squandered all of it simping for trashy girls(Mandy, Karen) and then became an alcoholic like his professor. In these later seasons its like his high intelligence trait is all but forgotten. Lip has taken the biggest L out of all the Gallaghers. Even Frank isn't as a big a **** up, he was a loser from the jump.
 
I hope they make the next season a solid one. Wrap up Ian/Mickey, please don't let Carl date Julia, or he might be running too lol. I'm glad they decided to not make Lip's story worse. I thought for sure it would be difficult and have him fall off the wagon again. Hopefully they can bring back Fiona and give her character full closure. And once again....Debbie is an idiot.
 
this season finale felt like it could've ended the series
ian/mickey married
frank coming back for his family
lip :smh: fell off but still able to settle down with his own space with tami and fred
only thing missing was a fiona appearance
 
Carl as a cop is completely unbelievable with his record and reputation. Some time @ a military Academy cant handwave the rest.

But I fully expect them to handwave it away anyway.
