"Safar Ali Eslamian Koupaei, the Iranian Charge D'Affaire in London, was summoned to the Foreign Office and told to close his embassy immediately. All 18 Iranian diplomats in Britain will depart by Thursday. Mr Koupaei appeared surprised by the strength of the British response and the Iranian foreign ministry criticised a "hasty" step."
