Sneakers for wet weather

Anyone have recommendations on sneakers that can take a bit of rain in the wetter seasons of the year? Just the occasional rain and no snow.

Looking for a shoe with predominantly black upper and preferably a white sole. Atm I'm kinda liking the Asics Gel Lyte III Triple Blacks which have the all leather upper. Not really interested in getting boots.

Or would it be ok to get a pair of sneakers that don't have a leather upper and just spray them with a water repel spray like Jason Markk Repel?

I think the Nike air force 1airness are pretty sick. Great for wet weather trust me I live in london lol check out my website sneakerface.net for my review on them
