Read how the Mavs are talking about signing and trading for Deandre Jordan (S&T with Tyson Chandler) but the Mavs insisting the Clippers take on Felton. We wanna sign your big guy, but help us by doing a S&T. Oh by the way, you have to take Felton off our hands. wut

The Mavs could sign Jordan out right and with the Clippers cap situation they would lose him for nothing.

Taking Felton would be the juice to get Tyson who they couldn't outright sign without the sign and trade.

And frankly Felton is better than Austin Rivers.

Honestly its all much ado about nothing unless Deandre just really wants to come back to Texas that bad.

He's an idiot if he leaves the Clips to come to Dallas unless he knows LMA is coming with him.

@mcten
Per a league source, at this moment the Bulls have security waiting to escort Tom Thibodeau out of the building.while he packs his things

DJ's agent probably leaking rumors to get more leverage. He seems to love LA, so I doubt he has a burning desire to go back to Texas (especially considering he's actually from Houston and not Dallas).

Only reason I pay some of it some mind is because Deandre really doesn't need leverage, he's getting them 20Ms from somebody no matter what the Mavs or Clips say or do.

DJ needs no leverage, check the Clips' cap situation. The biggest move they can pull off is re-signing DJ to the max deal. They can't afford to sign any one else even if DJ leaves

They will have to make due with filling out their roster with the MLE, possibly splitting it. They might be forced to keep Jamal and Rivers as well. Split the MLE between Jamal and Austin Rivers and sign PP to the vet's minimum

Thanks for that. I'm officially depressed now. And I was having a good day too.

Yup they know they really don't have any other options outside of a sign and trade and that's the only reason the Mavs rumor has legs.

its either give DJ the max, sign and trade him or losing him for nothing but a reduced pay roll.

And considering they are owner by one of the richest men in the world who seems crazy about the team, figuratively and literally, he ain't going anywhere.

@SneakerPro  what kind of flexibility do we have this year? Been a crazy year at school and haven't been able to keep up with it as much...

We only have 6 players under contract next year and about 32 million in cap space if we don't retain anyone and either waive Felton or dump him.

Pipe dream scenario.

Sign LMA outright
Sign and trade Tyson to the Clips for Deandre
Wait for Deron Williams to get bought out(which I think is going to happen) and grab him for the vet min.
Resign Aminu

Boom championship

Realistically

Tyson and Monta come back, we resign Aminu.
Sign Asik or Biyombo as high end backup centers.
Trade 21 to Denver for Lawson.

Boom maybe get out the first round.

PP to the vet minimum? Who says he takes that much?
Honestly I could see it 50/50. When he and Doc sit down I'm sure all of the options will be laid on the table

I wonder how bad PP wants to end his career in Los Angeles. He might not even care that much but if he really does want to "come home" it would be the perfect situation with Doc and the team

Aminu literally has a place on every team in the league.

I still don't know how we got him for the vet min last year.

I'd have no problems if they salary dumped Parsons and stared Aminu

If Aminu was on the Clippers they would have won it all this year

He is an energy guy with a shot

He's been high on my list of guys who should get a gig, as much as he says he doesnt want it. There are also things to be said about having coaches that the players like, Mark Jackson and Scott Brooks come to mind. Any one of those three guys bring more appeal to the team than what Byron Scott brings with his antiquated philosophies on three point shooting and his "tell it like it is" attitude which some people have at times equated to him berating the roster.

I dont think Byron Scott is coaching the 2017 Lakers, and I dont see anything wrong with them getting a head start on building that vision.
Nothing wrong with getting a HC, but I doubt hiring any of those guys you name is a real sway for any major FAs.

Loul Deng nearly died on the court and you don't believe in the minutes thing ?

Thibs asked Deng if Deng could give him about 20 some minutes while Deng was stupid sick.

Bulls fan here, Thibs and minutes thing were always his most stubborn suit. He never knew when to relax off the gas when his players are burnt.

He continues to ride them like a Chariot. I once was a big supporter for Thibs but year after years after years, it came to me that Thibs is so stubborn with his lineup that he doesn't want to insult the veterans' ego. I did support him for making the best of out of the player he's got but it contradicted itself when Playoffs arrived, players burnt out, same plays being called, stubborn match-up he won't exploit.

I strongly believe the Bulls player must feel bittersweet about this situation. Sure, your coach who give everything he had into the game that you love but the same coach who rarely gave you rest and made you worked your butt off in PRACTICE when game day is tomorrow, may they finally get some leisure and comfort knowing that those hard work Thibs taught them will help them to be better players and that the next head coach will finally utilize their offensive mentality to in game experience.

Im ready to watch our draft picks to be utilized..  Snell, Mcdermott, Mirotic, Bairstow.. Guys who we brought in, Moore.
