I think either the Giants or Eagles win the division, so the Cowboys are going to have to get one of the Wildcard spots.

will be tough considering that the nfc north and east both have 3 potential playoff teams and the nfc south has 2 contenders. possibly 2 contenders in the west but im not sold on the seahawks just yet.

^ Yeah man it's definitely not going to be easy getting a WC spot in the NFC this year, with anywhere from 5-7 teams vying for two spots.

the south too man...saints and atl both made it last year, and i expect carolina to take that 'next step' ...NFC is gonna be tough...

they'res gonna be some team outta these tho that end up being weak anyway...sorta like the eagles last year..seemed like a sure thing before week 1...then they sucked until dec...

i personally think the giants and the lions will be the teams to take two steps back...but thats why they play the game...so we gotta see

either way..i expect the east, and the nfc to be veeeryyy veery tuff..and our schedule aint helping none...

gonna be tough, but last years giants showed us anybody can get it done..just takes a hot streak...

heres to the rare cowboys dec hot streak...lmao..let the games begin

Not really in football mode or anything yet, but I do feel the need to rejoice in the fact that it is a new season and Alan Ball finally isn't on the roster. I feel like I can be a better fan now.

Especially looking forward to seeing a revamped secondary and the young linebackers.

big win. yall looked a lot better than i expected. crazy what 2 corners can do for ya

Such a fulfilling win..so much arrogance by giants fans.. Lol

People at work that weren't even giants fans were betting they win.. Like , seems like everyone looked at the giants as a sure thing...

Nothing better than collecting/talking smack Monday morning...feels good man

:hat

Didn't see this thread.. But what I posted in the off-season thread

Was pretty happy with most of the teams play..

Romo looked great.. Minus the one pick.. He passed efficiently.. And was able to extend plays that led to big gains.. Only critique is he needs to recognize reads faster. Too many close calls for Delay of games ..

Murray started slow, but he came out 2nd half and showed us what he can do, and his ability as a very good running back.

Felix has lost starting for good..

Dez looked great

Miles came out ghost but picked it up.. I'm looking for him to get better as the season goes on as he gets used to playing..

Ogletree :hat 'Nuff said

Witten didn't look like himself for good reason

O-Line.. Looked much better in the 2nd half. But for christ sake they are really bad. Tyron seems out of place. As does Free.. I feel they'll be the death of a couple wins..

D-Line decent pressure on Eli... And very good rush defense...

Linebackers... Impressed by Carter and Lee... Ware is a beast as always

Corners... Biggest surprise.. Carr, Clairborne, Scandrick all looked very good.. Carr & Clairborne seems to change the look of our entire defense..

Safeties... :{ Same as always.. Can't read plays.. Can't take proper angles.. Can't pick up a man..

Nice win :smokin

Romo, Ogletree, Murray, & Dez all looked good. Miles Austin came up with some big plays as well... That TD catch :eek

The CB's looked good last night too

I was really impressed how all the WR's Jelled together... I think We CAN have the nastiest WR Corps out there...

-Murray ran great, Just didn't understand on that long run he cut in im sure he could of got a TD.

- Crazy what we can do with actual corners now, we play man AND aggressively... We Held our own against the Defending Champs.

- I'm happy we played last night, We Get a Week & 1/2 Rest... But Garrett needs to DRILL this O-Line in practice for those FALSE STARTS/HOLDING CALLS. Thats Not gonna fly anymore, Esp. With these Replacement Refs...

-But All In All, Glad To See Romo Bounce back and Get A W, ON THE ROAD AGAINST A DEFENDING SB CHAMP (RIVAL)

This Year The Dallas Cowboys ARE REAL.

#feelsgoodman

Sure it's just one game/the opener. But as KF posted above, it's always important to get a big W against the heavily favoured division rival/defending SB champs.

Clean up that O-line tho, and fix those other ongoing problems (penalties/playclock management). Liked what I saw from that secondary. New season, new possibilities. This SHOULD be the year they focus and stop underachieving.

im hoping the fact that we had a new center that never practiced with us before had sumn to do with the false starts..maybe he's not used to the cadence..idk...really wasnt expecting tyron smith to get done in like so either?? not sure if JPP had his heart, or he just kept getting caught tryinh to cheat into his stance..idk...all in all, the line was our weak spot last night..but most things can be fixed..

Some random numbers:

The defense rushed five or more on 10 of 35 snaps (28.6 percent). It was just under 38 percent last season.

Romo was 5-7 with 150 yards and two touchdowns on throws that traveled 15+ yards.

The team is 6-0 when Murray gets at least 20 carries.

Havent had much time to get on, but im proud of the team and our effort.

Murray is a beast :hat dude runs hard as hell. Just dont want him to get in the habit of taking too many big hits.

Our O-line must improve, all the penalties have to stop.

Our receiving core is going to be nice as long as we stay healthy.

Not to mention Ware, Romo, and the defense :hat :hat :hat

O-line should get better. Linemen false start when you face a pass rush like that. Plus Costa being out hurt. Give them a couple weeks and I think they'll be solid. Solid is all you need with Romo back there and the weapons on offense

Missed most of the 1st quarter.

I was afraid we'd come out sluggish after the Giants game and looks like I'm right so far.

Just saw the highlights of Felix's fumble

and the blocked punt.

That's 10 points we spotted the Seahawks.

The miscues with the dropped passes from Witten and Dez aren't helping either.

Very sloppy 1st half, lucky to be only down 6.
