The Official NBA Season Thread: NBA Cup Begins | Embiid Debut | Klay Return

Luka ain’t ever gonna chill, man. :lol :{

You can’t get ejected in a damn elimination game. Shameless activity.

Oscar was probably the best offensive player of the 60's and was the first kind of do it all primary ball handler scorer/playmaker.

It's certainly not ridiculous to have Oscar over Kobe. It's close enough you can make reasonable arguments on both sides.

There are arguments you could make regardless of triple doubles.
Jerry West was better than Oscar Robertson.

On the simple grounds alone that they had near similar caliber career offensive production, but Jerry West was a vastly superior defensive player.

Jerry was also a superior clutch player and performer.

If you take into account where Jerry West was actually shooting from a lot of the time, pre-three-point line, you could probably add an easy 6 ppg onto his average and that’s conservative.

Oscar Robertson put up his averages in a league with minimal defense, and a much higher pace, with more possessions.

26 ppg and 10 apg
12x All Star
11x All NBA
MVP
Champion (Kareem was best player)

27 ppg and 7 apg
14x All Star
12x All NBA
5x All Defensive Team
Champion

It’s like taking Westbrook over D-Wade

What's the reasoning behind having a 4:45 and 8:40 tip? Couldn't the first game tip at like 6 and there be enough of a buffer to the second game? pums pums
