The Official NBA Season Thread: Derrick Rose Retires 🌹

Anyone found more info on what DRose is doing? He got waived but he asked out of his contract so he gets paid $0. Makes it seem unlikely he's just retiring. Does he have a win-now situation we're not aware of? Is he going back to the Bulls to teach the underage PG something useful? Doesn't really add up.

If OKC gets Flagg 🤯
Sneaky benefit of pick swaps. Teams are more likely to give up a swap with loose protections instead of giving you their pick outright.

Both OKC and the Spurs have a ton of swaps coming up.

Helps with the 2nd apron too. They’ll eventually have to let guys walk and can replace them with higher first rounds than they would have otherwise.

Wow. New state of the art stadium and no young prospects to entice ticketholders.

Not looking good.

I've been a NBA nerd my whole life man. I actually got a NBA youtube channel as well but I wont shamelessly plug until I'm more consistent. I've been inconsistent for years due to my job, but I think this season I will actually try to upload regularly

I don't think the Clippers situation is really that bleak. They've done a great job building a contender in Oklahoma and will likely add two franchise players over the next 2 seasons. They'll also have oodles of cap space to sign SGA, fox and Kyrie in 2026. Things are looking up

Word from a knick beat writer is he'll announce an update this or next week.

There's no way Tatum made legit shooting form changes in one month. He was just playing the Olympics last month. Any changes he's making is conscience, but when he gets in a live game and in the moment he will shoot it how hes been shooting his whole life. Now maybe by the end of the year it will be different, but just popping out with a new form to start the season sounds crazy

Kobe being the best player in any year beyond 08 is comedy

Bron being the best player in the league in 09 and 10 while Bean was on a run of 3 finals in a row (you know since that matters so much just making it) being 1st Team All NBA and 1st Team defense, winning B2B Finals MVPs and titles and putting up these numbers is what's really comedy.

Regular season: 27/5/5 on 46/34/84
Playoffs: 30/6/6 on 46/36/86

You Bron stans continue to be something else.

He can have 11-16. 08-10 was unequivocally Bean's reign.
