The Official NBA Season Thread: California Classic Summer League

Calling out y'all stupidity is caping now, apparently.

Stephen A has more juice and creative control than most ESPN employees and he laid it out for you. ESPN ain’t having their employees run on air ranting about something that allegedly happened, when they don’t have an idea of what he did, or more importantly in connection to this, when it actually occurred. Brandon Miller brought the weapon to the scene. That’s a stone cold fact that they can report on. The criminality of it is obviously a different standard, and obviously he was never even charged. Talking about the morality of bringing the weapon to the scene given the text convo, the loss of life, etc. isn’t out of bounds at all. Just don’t understand what yall are missing here.
Famb the best way to understand the Malika hate is not to read what is posted in this thread.

Go read the old Kevin Samuels thread.

That will give you the proper insight

Dudes don't have an issue with some supposed journalistic malpractice on Andrews' part. The real issue is that dudes see Andrews as a black woman who is not sufficiently respectful/obedient/loyal to black men. Having an issue with these supposed women was a major theme in that thread. And if you cross-check posters, I think you will see a trend.

Andrews's marrying a white man is an example of her disloyalty, her "talking back" to SAS is another example, her being short with Perk, and her reading of a teleprompter regarding bad behavior by black men are other examples of disloyalty.

That is why I knew the goalpost move was coming as soon as she mentioned Giddey. Dudes don't really have an issue with her journalistic standards. It is her supposed character they have this weird reactionary hang-up with.

And in the Kevin Samuels thread, whenever someone pushed back on such commentary, they were not thinking straight or some kind of simp.

Nothing will make these dudes see reason, their beef isn't logical. It is emotional

It's video and a pic of the girl in a high school book in 22 saying she's a sophomore. It's proof that girl was 15 or 16.

And SAS is on his podcast away from ESPN. Since he got that podcast he been saying and speaking on things that ESPN won't let him speak on.

Now all of a sudden ESPN is waiting on facts?? For real? How long we been watching ESPN?

Funniest part is the Malika turn wasn't even on the perceived tone of how she would talk about black players

This is when it happened

Once the rumors hit and ppl saw them tight *** laces they were all the way out on her

do we know its the same girl and not just any ol white girl? and that she/her social account posted the just ****** Giddey caption and not just someone easily took a picture, right click saved and added a caption and put it into twittersphere? again, people have been misidentified in situations all the time like this by the early jump to conclusions crowd. And that's no defense. But I think it's fair to wait for something, concrete, from someone involved.

he still doing this ****, someone must stop him. I'm a be at his wedding and when they hit with the "if anyone has a reason why these 2 shouldn't be gathered in holy matrimony, let him speak now or forever hold his peace," I'm holding HD printouts of him destroying these sneaks like this.

How exactly do people want ESPN analysis to say on air about Giddey?
they are starting to report on it locally on the non sports news shows. It's a bad a look. Not showing tiktok screen grabs and the like, just a stern "the nba is investigating into Thunder player Josh Giddey's allegedly having a relationship with a minor. Weather at 7, back to you James." Such a bad look for everyone involved.

I don’t know what type of work you do for a living, but I’m sorry that just doesn’t fly as proof when you’re talking about business relationships with a partner that you’re paying billions to for media rights. There’s been no serious investigative journalism done of this that reputable journalists have been willing to put their names on. You want a report because of a picture in a yearbook. I don’t even think OKC PD has an investigation open at this point.

Brandon Miller was literally connected to a murder investigation and transported a murder weapon to the crime scene. The logic doesn’t follow. That’s something that you can actually report on.

Joy Taylor and Kimberly Martin was/still with white dudes, why they don't get criticized like this?

HIS PODCAST IS NOT AFFLIATED WITH ESPN.

If it was one of these young _'s he would not be tip toeing like that. Again SAS is the king of image/optics.

Why I gotta be Shrek? I been working out fam, I'm down 60lbs on the yr. Although that could be bout right I bet he's hella strong even in his higher body fat percentages. This me running to the church in the rain

His podcast is through FanDuel Sportsbook, the official Sportsbook of the NBA . I get that it’s getting you emotionally charged up but you’re in a bit over your head as to the business and legal aspects of this.

Oh nah I'm chillin. I was responding to you mad at the screenshot.

And Ima keep saying it SAS is known to criticize and go on rants about athletes putting themselves in bad positions. ESPN is the king of framing these stories a certain way but now it's lets wait for the police I can be blackballed because of Josh Giddey. Now Bogut saying that the girl lied about her age so there's more smoke.

In non basketball news, Oubre could return as soon as Friday after being hit by a car

More at 7
Still think bro got swiped and thought he could just tolerate the pain and sleep on it until he got home and the logical spouse told his goofy *** to call 911
