Lakers waiting until the Summer to sign Kyrie and keeping their picks is not “being damned”.

It’s being smart.

No team is giving Kyrie more than a 2 year deal. Lakers can use the market (or lack thereof) against him.

although none of us are surprised to see it blowing up, it sucks that we’ll likely never know how good the kd x kyrie combo could have been. barely 70 games together across three seasons.. that said, a durant and gsw reunion would be great!

Cryrie getting traded to the Lakers only makes sense if Utah or somebody else is involved to provide players to Brooklyn since they obviously don’t want Russ. I’d still want at least one of those future firsts though.
