The westernmost HBCU in the U.S. is St. Philip's College in San Antonio.

Did not know this. I spent most of my life out east, just now dawning on me that HBCU’s are basically exclusive to the south. Once you pass the mason dixon to the north the hbcu’s stop. I guess Texas is the stopping point out west.
