Pointless narrative. One is playing with a guy that can score 50. The other is playing with Donte Divincenzo.

No Embiid, Maxey isn’t playing like this.

He dropped 51 and 52 without Embiid playing weeks back earlier this month and in February

But in all seriousness, he does have Embiid. That does make a difference.

Regular season doesn’t matter. Teams aren’t creating an entire game plan to stop one player in a regular season game.

You see how the Sixers play when Embiid sits.

Hes playing with an MVP caliber player, that makes life 100x easier. You’re not doubling Maxey and sending different looks at him because you still have to worry about Embiid.

On the other hand, the Sixers want OG/Hart/etc to
Beat them. They rather throw everything at Brunson.
 
They don’t have anything for maxey though. All world defender OG can’t stay in front of him. At this point they need to tilt the defense Maxey’s way.
 
Interesting take on John Stockton. People look at the eye popping stat accumulation and longevity but leave out that she was never a top five player, his team routinely got bounced in the first round despite having home court advantage and he choked in the playoffs regularly.

That’s what I said. Mitch is our best Embiid defender, he needs a minute increase, stop the double teaming.

Let the rest focus on Maxey. His double step back this series has been unstoppable though. These shots are all net. Idk if he’s just on fire or he leveled up.
 
Embiid is catching the ball 20' from the rim; you really don't want Robinson or Hartenstein all the way out there. It's just going to end with Maxey putting them in an impossible high pick & roll.

Surprised Thibs didn't use OG on Embiid at all last night after it really got them off their game on Sunday.
