Tatum is late here (he & Jrue have to rotate at the EXACT same time) but even if he’s on time, you’re leaving KCP wide open, which is the checkmate.

The math would tell you a dunk is a 100% shot, an open jumper from anyone anywhere on the court is much lower than that, so you give up the jumper.

And that’s the only adjustment you can make when Denver runs this every single time down the court :lol: You gotta concede something, and it’s a wide open corner 3.

And you’ll probably lose like that.

Their ability to get a good shot on the vast majority of possessions is just incredible to watch and impossible to defend.

It’s why they struggle against Philthy the most. It’s the one time where there is a man big and agile enough to bother Joker. So you don’t really need to double him in the post and you don’t really have to worry that he’ll just get easy chippy paint buckets constantly.

Joker and Embiid are as skilled as 6’8 players but with the size of a true 7 footer. It’s just so physically rare. It’s why even Nurkic is decent because he has close to the size to try to bother Joker…but still too small. Jamal Magloire and Erica Dampier need to make a comeback. These fake 7 footers aka 6’10 guys just get destroyed by Joker.
