I don't think Lyles intended to troll NBA players with the original comments

He was just saying something petty and dumb that he sincerely thought was an great point

HIM HIM joke about not regarding Lyles as the fastest man in the world was probably the best comeback/jab to Lyles' comments
 
He could’ve made a comment about all these soccer leagues lol.

Those are technically the highest paid athletes. That one kid got offered three quarters of a billion to play in a local Saudi League. Besides the World Cup, none of the league champions bear the fruit of world champion.
 
Definitely some jealousy. General public has absolutely zero clue who Noah Lyles is. More folks would recognize Bobby Portis. And Portis has way more money.

true. Messi here was offered $1.6 Billion for 4 years from Saudi. he opted for $50 million per year on a 2 year contract at MLS and possibly some team ownership and stakes at Apple TV. rumors saying the value could be what was being offered by Saudi as well.

I did not know who Lyle’s was until this whole “world champions” brouhaha occurred.
 
Whoever was the first Womans coach, the dudes would do their best to make her and them succeed.

Now the 4th or 5th Womens coach, it maybe different, but that first group, will try to make sure it works.
 
The real question is, lets say we find out the Head Coach and the Star player sleeping together, does it matter? What if they always win?
