That's what this thread is for.

Nothingbefore, I really liked the dirty south snippet, the drums were crucial. Obviously you've been making beats and everything for a while, very nicepercussion match to melody and tone. The early 90s feel was hard to get into but then once the different parts hit, I understood where you were going with it. Very nice vision on beats.

lil rell, I liked the jazz chords, but I wan't sure where your beats were going. Granted, there does not need to be 16/8/16 structure, but it soundedmore like a mpc x live instrument jam session on 43. The harmonies are a bit off on the baby don't cry remix. The mind racing beat was alright. Break yaankles was ok, although the main marimba synth sound has no major or minor allocation, kinda hard to follow. I think you need alot of musical work withharmonies and really listening to instruments to see where they work.

"Trapping in Outer Space"

If you guys want feedback on your beats, you are going to have to leave feedback for others beats as well.

CoolGrayGrey, I liked the switchups in your beat, I was never really bored by beat that much because of the switchups but the drums need a lil bit of work, maybe better clap/snare combo and the sounds in your beat sounded a bit cheesy, but overall it was ok, I can tell you haven't been producing that long butkeep on making beats and you will only get better

Yung MJ 5, your beat was minimalistic, not a lot of melody going on but the drums were nice and creative, I could see the cool kids rapping over that beateasily, nice simple beat

forgot about jae, "wrinkle in time", was very organic sounding, drums went together perfectly with that track, nice work

heres my beat, http://www.zshare.net/audio/525930973ca150fe/, it is for an rapper on anotherforum...his name is roxx...that is why i named it that...

I'm not an expert on beat making. But I am definitely a fan of hip-hop & instrumentals. Here's some feedback (since I listened, I might as well letyou know what I think)

This mans a beast. LIFES A GAMBLE-- I listened to it for about 2 hours straight... enough said. Kreativity, Watermelon Sundae, Still Lookin, so much more.

Plan... Good stuff... really loving it. your beats go hard, in a mellow way (loving almost all of them)

melo... good stuff, not bad (i wouldn't mind hearing more of your music) I can definitely hear the influence of the man in your sig in your beats

I'll post some more feedback when I get a chance to listen to some more

I myself haven't posted anything beat related for ages so heres 3 new ones from the vinyls i bought yesterday

-Plan All your drums sound so raw and breathe like they have life almost like they all came from breaks. 2 and 4 are silly i like those 2 the most ... ididdnt like 3 im more a fan of grooves than fusion. All your beats sound easily rappable as well.

-Roxx is an insane beat. That little break where the bass just plays makes you pay more attention to the details in the beat it pulls you inward... Nice worknever heard a synth like that.

thanks for the love y'all, hope y'all really feelin that beat and not just saying it just to be nice

PLAN BEATS - You got that Dr.Dre crispness and clarity in your drums, except yours are in that boom bap style.
