As a Portland fan, the ineptitude the front office has shown through the years makes you realize you can’t always aim to high. Sometimes you just have to realize what the best you can get is.

Portland is a weird market too. A lot of “fans” here are perfectly fine with a mid level team squeaking into the playoffs as long as it is a good group of guys. Maybe they are jaded from the jail blazer era. But I have always got a sense from the fan base that a lot of them don’t really care about going all in for a championship. The ownership has ran the team in a way that appeases these losers as well.

Get good players to come here? Cant do that. Trades and drafts only. Dame, Ant, Little, Turner and Nurk would probably be the lineup. So we'll continue to get bounced in round 1. Which like airblaster503 said will appease too much of the fan base.
