The OG Power Rangers.. Where are they now?

According to Amy and Jason David Frank the conditions working on that show were beyond terrible. Apparently they were doing 16 hour days and saban wouldn't hire SAG actors because he didn't want to pay them money. It is not a coincidence that most of the OG actors want nothing to do with Saban or a reunion show. Saban made millions off them and most of the actors barely cleared 32k

Thinking back on the show and learning about all the behind the scenes nonsense when I got older I'm surprised the show lasted as long as it did. From Tommy and Billy's real life feud to th extremely long hours and little pay( Amy jo Johnson indicated that they were paid 600 bucks per week).

thats some crazy stuff, unless you are doing what you love, i would be a formula1 driver for free if it was legit racing

I'm not sure if the 600 per week was for the movies too but Saban is not well liked by former cast members. Does anyone remember Big Bad Beetleborgs and how they changed Jo(the little girl) mid season? What they didn't say was the little actress playing Jo got her SAG card and Saban and Fox didn't want to pay the actors on the SAG scale. This shows you what dude was like. Saban sold these actors on the idea that they would go on to bigger things because they were part of one of the most popular shows of all time but look how that turned out. Amy is the only relatively successful former PR actor.

I mean, it's show business though, it's always been ruthless. Amy most likely had a good agent but I also remember seeing somewhere that Amy and the black guy were the only real professional actors. The other kids had to take classes. She was a gymnast or something like that. 

How do you get cast for a show that was the most popular show of its time and not move on to bigger and better things. The people at Saban had a point. Just because the show made it BIG doesn't mean they have to pay them more. That's their agent's job.

Ari Gold would've got them the money they wanted.

Did anyone else find it hilarious when Saban and Fox fired Jason Trini and Zack for asking for more money but then cut and merged scenes from old episodes to pretend that they were still there? LOL Jason, Trini and Zack stayed morphed for their last 5 episodes and Jason's voice sounded weird. Saban and them were ruthless.

Def peeped this in my Netflix viewings. Those three were always "studying" or "helping out at the animal shelter" or some **** for a few episodes straight, then Red would show up mid battle giving commands in a bad imitation of his own voice...just awful. Never knew how deep this **** got as a kid.

On an unrelated note, the Rangers' watch beep is my text ringtone. I've had it so long I forget it's from the show sometimes. Sometimes it goes off in public and people will look at me and I'll duck behind something that doesn't hide me like a light pole and start talking into it...good times.

Nomad, I agree 100% most of the actors were terrible and needed acting classes such as Rocky aka Steve Cardenas. With that said, I don't blame Saban and Fox I just wasn't aware of all the drama until I got older. My other point is that people shouldn't be surprised that a majority of the OG rangers won't be making an appearance on the new show.

It's from a ringtone app called Zedge, I know it's for Android and am pretty sure it's for iPhone too. It's where I got my Ranger tone, my Metal Gear Solid "(!)" sound email alert and my Captain Falcon ringer that all ensure everybody knows I'm a giant black nerd whenever my phone goes off.

I can't remember which firing was handled worse, Jason/Trini/Zack or when they fired Billy in Zeo. They made Billy age and replaced him with some Mr. Rogers looking dude and sent him to Aquatar. LOL

Yeah man, Saban was on some ********.

I vaguely remember that Billy sequence too, but by the time Zeo rolled around I had mainly tuned out. I was mad when Tommy was still a Ranger in like 08 tho
