I thought it was pretty obvious after the keynote yesterday that the secret game was Drawn to Death.
But I mean didn't they say only 10% of the planets will even have life forms other than plant life? Plus in their trailers, you penetrate the atmosphere in half a second, like covering thousands of miles in a blink. More like a sight seeing game with little to nothing to do. Only so many different randomly generated planet forms before you get sick of seeing them over and over man.
It was pretty clear from the jump that the game was gonna be mostly flying around seeing cool ****
So is this PS Experience going to be happening every year?
Bring it to NY, would love to go.

Spot on. I really wish they put effort into actually making a game because the concept is cool. For a sight-seeing game there's massive amounts of pop and the draw distance is horrible.

Nope. Even if they only accepted what we'll call "Sony" accepted data, there'd have to be a cursory inspection of the data to see if it's Sony data or not. That being said, if the data is being sent faster than the servers/system can process it, the system gets backed up and the DDoS attack still works, resulting in downed PSN.? About this kinda hacking isn't it possible for sony to only accept traffic from a PlayStation or anything they want to alow to connect to them?
how about if they limit the amount of trafic a certain thing can create or limit the data they can accept lmao I don't know I just know Christmas break is near after a year of work I want to play? EDIT: Well, actually I shouldn't say nope, it's likely already in effect, but is ineffective.
You're not "supposed" to make your way into the center. You never have to go, it's just an objective they put into the game to inspire people to actually go through the work of trading and mining and exploring because not everyone is going to do those simply for the experience. Ditto on the last pararaph. What would you like NMS to be? What would make you be into it?But I mean didn't they say only 10% of the planets will even have life forms other than plant life? There is stuff to do in the game. You're supposed to make your way to the center of the universe. You gather resources on the planets to upgrade your ship, armor, and guns.
I agree it's frustrating they haven't showed off much of that stuff, but this is a very small team working on this game. It's likely those systems aren't ready to be show off yet.
That was actually explained. It goes beyond simply having a low draw distance. The world doesn't actually exist until you visit it. It's not like in most video games where the data for the objects are there in game but they don't actually render. In this game the algorithm has to completely generate the planet on the fly when you get close enough. Once you leave it all stops existing. Otherwise the game would be impossibly large data-wiseSpot on. I really wish they put effort into actually making a game because the concept is cool. There're ways to prevent DDoS but they're really expensive, even for large corporations like Sony. We'll see if they're willing to spend more money on protection by the time the holidays come I suppose.how about if they limit the amount of trafic a certain thing can create or limit the data they can accept lmao I don't know I just know Christmas break is near after a year of work I want to play
I hear that's one of the greatest and deepest JRPGs of all time, gonna check it out hopefully over Christmas break.Suikoden II is the biggest news of this entire weekend for me. Excited for FF VII Remaster with trophies.
