The Tipping Thread

First and foremost, this has nothing to do with race.  People of all color's tip and don't tip.  However, I was very intrigued by the thread that got locked.

If you go out and eat, drink, and run up an $80 dollar tab..  Please explain why it is acceptable to not take care of the person serving you?  If you receive good service, why should the person serving you not be compensated?

Again, this is not a race issue.  I just find it interesting, as a person who works in the service industry, the public's thoughts no this.
 
I always tip. Good service, good tip, bad service, standard tip. Once my waiter kept playin us and we had other waiters helpin us out and looking for our actual waikter. I left him a penny and wrote on the receipt that I was from a online magazine doing restaurant service review. Wrote a fake code where he can check on his rating. Hope I effffd up his night. But yea, I always tip.
