I never realized how many classic beats came outta the Bad Boy camp when they were on top... so i compiled a list of my top 5 greatest Bad Boy beats. I thinkHitmen should be up there with all time great production teams like Organized Noize & The Neptunes... they don't get alot of credit.

Biggie - Who Shot Ya
Biggie - Dead Wrong
Biggie ft Busta - Victory
G-Dep - Special Delivery
Craig Mack - Flavor In Ya Ear

Notable mentions
Puff - All About The Benjamins
LOX - Money, Power, Respect
112. - Cupid
Shyne - Bad Boys

List yours!

Damn you got me in Biggie Mode now.

Dead Wrong is one of the sickest beats of all time. It's just too raw. You let anyone hear this beat, they will turn thug and rob you.

Oh yeah, the top 5 now. Impossible to rank them, so in no order:

Who Shot YA?
Dead Wrong
Kick in the Door
%+%#+! Bleed
I know it's PREMO but....
10 Crack Commandments.

total -can't you see

so yeah, dont blame puff

BIG "What's Beef"
BIG "My Downfall"

Carlos "6 July" Broady is the #1 Hitman IMO . . . His joints are musically onpoint, but still gritty at the sametime . . .

Benjamins for sure. Dead Wrong knocks HARD.

Black Rob "Whoa" is a classic IMO.

Not really sure the Hitmen qualify as a team. Don't think they really worked together like Noise or the Neptunes. They were more of a collective.

I think Puff still talks about The Hitmen, but it ain't the same dudes today as it was 10 years ago, when D Dot, Ron Lawrence, Nashiem Myrick, Stevie J, 6July and them were putting in that work.

I also don't think these guys get much appreciation because so many of the big records were sample HEAVY. "Hypnotize", "Been Around TheWorld", "Can't Nobody....", "Mo Money..." etc etc. tend to overshadow the more original material they did.

Not sure who produced them, but they did some sick work on the R+B Tip....

Total "Kissing You" (Original Mix)
Faith "You Used To Love Me"
112 "Cupid" was a good call. I also dig "Anywhere"
Carol Thomas "I Wish"

etc.

I believe 7even Aurelius did "Whoa"

Good list, my slept on beat by them would be The LOX - Living The Life

That %%@# goes HARD

how you just noticing that now?

dudes today are still spittin' on beats (freestyles on Hot 97, for example) from Bad Boy in the 90's...I think the Roc with production from JustBlaze, Neptunes, Kanye, etc. had it early 00's...but yeah, BB had the beats on lock though...

as far as a top 5, there's too many good ones, I can't compile a list because I'll always remember another one and will want to add it to a top5...

Victory is in my top 3 though

Nah. Don't even sound like 7. It was Buckwild. Who I don't think was a Hitman. So I guess we're both wrong.

The Hitmen is a production team formed by Sean "Diddy"Combs to produce Hip Hop and R&B records for his Bad Boy label's recording artists. Due to theirgreat success, they have also been hired for projects outside of Bad Boy Records. They are set to work on Nas' upcoming album %#!%*!,[sup][1][/sup]Fat Joe's The Elephant in the Room, and Clipse' follow up albumto Hell Hath No Fury.[sup][2][/sup]

Matt what the hell made you think 7 produced "Whoa" ???
he's versatile with the sounds but that doesn't sound anything like his work

like illphillip said it's produced by Buckwild

he did quite a few joints for Bad Boy so maybe that garners him being a Hitmen member for that time?
I read he did the Faith Evans joint "I Love You"

When Bink! was producing for Bad Boy he was considered a part of the Hitmen

and 7 Aurelius now calls himself a Hitman
