Not many teams enjoy playing rugby. The fact that the ref allows Stoke to take a minimum of 40 seconds for every throw is laughable. Then the ref turns around and gives a yellow to Marc Wilson for taking 15 seconds on a throw late in the game

Edit--- Foy needs a bacon sandwich from the wife and think about the game

Fletcher takes a break

On behalf of Darren Fletcher, Manchester United wishes to announce that he is taking an extended break from football for health reasons.

Over the past year he has had several absence periods which we have attributed to a viral illness in order to respect his right to medical confidentiality. Darren has, in fact, been suffering from ulcerative colitis (a chronic inflammatory bowel condition) for some time preceding this.

Whilst he was able to maintain remission of symptoms for a considerable period this has proved more difficult recently and Darren’s continued desire to play and his loyalty to both his club and country has probably compromised the chances of optimising his own health and fitness.

He has therefore accepted medical advice to take an extended break from the demands of training and playing in order to afford the best chance possible of achieving full remission once again.

We request that his privacy is respected and hope that the removal of the additional stress associated with speculation regarding his health will also aid his recovery.

Another man down!

You've got to think of the bigger picture, it wasn't the last match day.  Yes their win moves us out of the top 4 momentarily but it shows everyone City can be beaten and if we win come Sunday it puts us 6 points (or 7 if United win) out of first place with more than half the season to go and the top 4 all have to come to the Emirates.  I'll take it considering how we started the season.

You seriously think that Arsenal can finish 1st place? No, seriously, FIRST PLACE?!

This was a bad result for Arsenal. Just increases the chance of City/Chelsea/United getting the first three CL spots.

Video: Arsenal & Sunderland striker Nicklas Bendtner begs for free pizza
Wednesday, December 14th, 2011

Over the last day or so reports have surfaced that Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner, currently on loan at Sunderland, was involved in a bizarre incident in a pizzeria in Copenhagen.

After Bendtner’s credit card was refused by the pizza joint, the Danish hitman was forced to beg both the store and other diners for some free munch.

According to Danish newspaper Ekstrabladet, Bendtner rolled out the infamous phrase “Don’t you know who I am? I can buy the whole pizzeria.

i think all these torres rumors are rubbish, yes he's a failed project, but theres no way CHELSEA will sell him for 20m and i highly doubt that Barcelona want him especially for david villa

As a United fan, you have to think that Ferguson will have to spend in January right? Both our midfields and defenses have been completely ravaged by injury. Who do you guys think is a possible buy?

12/18 @ City
1/22 Home to United

2/26  Home to Spurs

3/3 @ Liverpool

4/7 Home to City

4/21 Home to Chelsea

So after this weekend we will have gotten all but one tough away trip vs the top 6 out of the way and if you think that with over half the season left and all the top 4 needing to come to the Emirates that a 6 or7 point lead is too much to make up then I dont know what to tell you.

With the run we are on with this current team if they can stay fit *touch wood*  add a quality addition or two in January (we'll lose Gervinho and Chamakh for the ACON) plus come the end of January we should have Wilshere and Sagna back then if we are in touching distance at that time I wouldn't count us out.

I'll believe we've got a chance until we are mathematically out of if...hell nobody thought we'd be where we are now so who knows where we'll be at the end of the season.

saf is pretty content with the team right now, i wish he would buy someone but its just a christmas wish at the moment
