[TRAILER] The Raid 2: Berandal

^ The fight choreography, especially with the weapons, is amazing in this movie. Even without an R rating, if TMNT had fights like this instead of the Turtles crashing into jeeps with diagonal Michael Bay angles with lens flares, it would be so dope. The Foot Clan using automatic rifles kind of shows that TMNT won't have anywhere near the level of martial arts action in this movie.

I can't imagine any action movie coming out this year that will come close to The Raid 2 though. This is definitely one to buy for the home collection.

Imagine Donnie going in like homie with the baseball bat and Raph like the chick with the hammers...id be in heaven

This is by far the best Chinese film I've ever seen.

The action is crazy. Probably the best martial arts I've ever scene and the only martial arts movies I've seen are Kill Bill 1&2 and Rush Hour 3.

The English dubbing sounds so horrific it's hilarious.

Yea I tried watching dub for my friend but I couldn't and switched to subs.

It was actually made in Indonesia

you need to peep ip man and chocolate if you have netflix

The Raid 2 is the best action and martial arts movie i've ever seen(seen ip man, drunken master 2, 5 deadly venoms etc).. I cant stop watching the last 20min over and over. I can't believe there isnt another movie like this out there.

The movie was shot perfectly.. The characters were well crafted, except for the "son".. thought he was a little too obvious and was portrayed by a poor actor.

Evan and this Iwo kid are going to mega stars at some point.

PS- by action.. i literally mean action. The story is verrry weak. And usually i hate movies of this ilk. But it comes together very well.

This man. I watched it twice, the dubbed version and the regular. Subtitles are so much better.

Movie was FLAMES.

that last fight scene vs the dude in the kitchen. My god. GOAT fight scene.

not just the fight choreography but the way the director captures the scene is on point :smokin:smokin:smokin raid 2 > raid 1

Its crazy how a British director just decided to step foot into a whole different culture, stick with it and create something special.

I watched Gareth Evans' first flick "Merantau" on Netflix and it was pretty dope too, not as polished of course. A few of the actors from both Raid movies were in it and Iko Uwais was the protagonist once again.

And yea, Hammer Girl/Julie Estelle is way too appreciated man .

Nice little interview from earlier in the year.

They wanted to make the Raid 2 initially, but didn't have the budget, so they conjured up the first one in hopes it'd make money so they can have a budget to make 2 :smokin. Glad it worked out

ChocoLate was trash to me. Fight scenes gor wayyyy to repetitive for me. Watched it once and never again. Same with Blood, The Last Vampire.

THIS was crazy! :wow:

Somehow this one topped the first in my opinion. I liked the tension between the Indonesian gangs, the Japanese and the police. Was dope to see some culture clashing going on because it added to the beef. When the Japanese dudes pulled out the short swords, it was on from there until the end of the movie.

It was dope to see my dude Mad Dog back in action. :smokin His wife was a pure ***** though. I understand homie is about that life and basically the Indonesian DMX, but let my dude see his son.

That fight between my dude and baseball boy and hammer time girl was CRAZY! :smokin

Very good movie and the nod to Casino's desert burial scene at the beginning was a nice touch.

Yeah, dope movie to expand what they started in part 1. Really fleshed out the world but damn, they did him dirty by saying jail for a few weeks then it became years and you're on your own :smh:

So at the end, the bad guys were offering him a job and the police officer who "hired" him to go undercover wasn't crooked or anything?

Watched it tonight and it was way better than the first. The fight scenes were extreme but incredibly well done. I'm waiting for "The Protector 2" on Netflix, I don't think it'll be as badass as this though.

Bought the first and second at Best Buy this week because of people posting pics on IG. I don't watch martial arts movies at all and had low expectations and OMG. Specifically the second one the last 30 minutes after he gets off the phone asking if his family is safe is pure fire!

Oh and Hammer Girl can get it.
