I heard that using waterproof spray on icy soles can slow down the yellowing process. Has anybody tried this before?

Never heard of it done myself, but it seems like an interesting solution that might actually work... would like to know if anyone's done this too.

Try the sneaker care/maintenance thread but no solution could stand the wear and tear of being constantly walked on as far as I know.

How about you just wear your kicks and not worry about it cause JB is gonna re-release them anyways.

I think all the yellowing is caused by oxidation and has very little correlation to being worn. My suggestion, take the shoes out the box and wear them and just let them breathe. Don't wrap them in suran wrap.

Yeahh the yellowing is caused by oxidation but i wonder if that spray would put a seal around the soles that would help. Im not spraying my soles until i hear it from somebody that has done it tho

I've done this on my Cool Greys and Concords.  I don't know if it does anything, but it doesn't hurt the shoes.  I wear mine anyway, so they're gonna yellow regardless of what I do.

Nothing works to prevent it from yellowing. IT'S GONNA YELLOW NO MATTER WHAT!
