Whats up guys? I was designing a pair of NikeiD AF1's and saw the "tonal elephant" print option. I had never heard that term before so I figured you guys could clear up my confussion.

Question: Is the elephant print option the same material as what is on the Air Jordan III or is the elephant print painted on plain leather?

Thanks in advance

Not my pic...but looks like the same material used on 3's

it's a little different than that though, the elephant print would be in grey on the tonal print so it becomes much more subtle. Like the way the print looks on the Fire Red 3s.

Since it's the 30th anniversary of the AF1, NIKEiD will have a different, special [sometimes limited] material up in the options for every month.

January, it was wool. February, it was regular elephant print (what you see on AJ IIIs) + blue/grey elephant and red/grey elephant. This month, it's tennis ball material + the tonal elephant print you see now.

This is why [if/when you see AF1 iDs available this whole year] they're priced so high @ $190/$200.

For all things AF1-related, peep game over here though:

AF1 iDs are being discussed the last few pages.
