My 1st gig was taking surveys over the phone at a company called Market Facts. I was there for all of my senior year in HS and some college.

Underpaid and overworked like stated above.

My first job was a summertime seasonal thing working on Base at a mess hall. It was a lot of fun, since we were all high schoolers, and it paid REALLY well,but it was 3 separate shifts per day.

And it was better than retail by a LONG shot.
