Feast of the seven fishes? What does that entail? Sounds fantastic.

Mostly I'm eating candy and drinking Pepsi at the moment. My house is a building site right now so it doesn't look like more than snacks until my parents for lunch tomorrow.

Pork Shoulder
Mashed potatoes
Pastelon de tortilla
Sweet potato cake
Chaufa rice
Baked Ziti
Potato salad

The meal's components are similar for most families as there is always some combination of anchovies, sardines, dried salt cod, smelts, eels, squid, octopus, shrimp, mussels and clams. The menus also include pastas, vegetables, baked or fried kale patties, baked goods and homemade wine. Also, this tradition still remains very popular to this day.[citation needed]


I dunno actually - the first 3 are great then it goes a bit downhill.

An Italian-American Christmas Eve tradition. The name says it all. Seven different fishes (sometimes more if that's what you prefer) all together in a big bowl full of tomato sauce w/ linguini.

Lobster, clams, crab, oysters, mussels, calamari, baccala, etc.

Absolutely delicious. Favorite meal of the year.
