My artist of the decade goes to Anthony Hamilton.

His debut was a classic and every album thereafter have been solid if not better.

He isn't in the limelight all the time, but he's definitely deserving of the award.

Who do you feel is the artist of the decade?

I guess I'll say Amerie.
I've always rooted for her.

I respect that Mr. Hamilton that was a damn good pick, especially considering that R&B is soooo down and he's basically dropped nonstop good music.

EDIT... UPON FURTHER DELIBERATION...

I'll give it to Ye`

he did do major work this decade. Behind a great number of the great music we've heard this decade.

the rapper Jay-Z: 3 Classics in the decade, 7+ albums of quality material...not to mention unplugged n collab albums

Influenced just about all the top rappers in the game presently...without his material being heard first I dont think we would have gotten alot of good rapmusic this decade...at least to my liking

my overall artist of the decade is Radiohead (tempted to say Animal Collective but I really didn't listen the whole decade)

my hip hop artists of the decade are Outkast, Nas, Ghostface and Kanye

you know whats ill... I typed out that exact same thing.. then I thought about everything that Kanye had his hand in from his own tracks to producing classicsand bringing production to another level I edited it out. But thats exactly what I stated. Those 6 are amazing.

Nas and Ghostface both put in A LOT of amazing work this decade.

Non hip-hop I go with Josh Homme.
