There was another thread asking who was better in this category out of Joe Budden's and Em. Dudes were gettin pretty salty at some of us givin our opinion on who was best of all time in this category so i made a thread for it.
So honestly i have to say Andre 3000. IMO he's already better lyrically than everyone, so when he does tell a story it automatically surpasses everyone's. It's like and actual book when this N_ raps.
Word to Tha Art Of Storytellin Pt. 1
Now Suzy Skrew had a partna named Sasha , Thumper
I remember her number like the summer
when her and Suzy yeah they threw a slumber - - party
but you can not call it that cause it was slummer
Well it was more like spend the night
Three in the morning yawnin dancin under street lights
We chillin like a villain and a N_ feelin right
in the middle of the ghetto on the curb, but in spite
all of the %+@#%!+% we on our back starin at the stars above
(aww man) Talkin bout what we gonna be when we grow up
I said what you wanna be, she said, "Alive"
It made me think for a minute, then looked in her eyes
I coulda died, time went on, I got grown
Rhyme got strong, mind got blown, I came back home
to find lil Sasha was gone
Her mamma said she with a N_ that be treatin her wrong
I kept on singin my song and hopin at a show
that I would one day see her standin in the front row
But two weeks later she got found in the back of a school
With a needle in her arm, baby two months due, Sasha Thumper

...and Pt 2.
Baby did you hear that yea baby I heard it too
Look out the window golly the sky is electric blue
Mamma Earth is dyin and cryin because of you
Rainin cats and jackles all shackles disintegrate, to residue
Silly mortals haven't a clue
as to what the +*%@ is goin on
I'm on the telephone, dialin the Dungeon
"Hello?" This Dre, bring the MP and the SP
Meet me at the center of the earth and travel carefully
Baby grab the baby cause baby it ain't much time
Mamma Earth is tossin and turnin and that's our sign
Omega $%%%* IFO's are landin in Decatur
Hope I'm not over your head but if so you will catch on later
Play the track, guess she could not take it anymo'
Rapin her heavenly body like a !#@, coochie so'
from N_s constantly %%@++% her never lovin her never showin
appreciation bustin nuts in her face when they done

...and SpottieOttieDopalicious
As the plot thickens it gives me the dickens
Reminiscent of Charles a li'l disco-tech
nestled in the ghettoes of *****ville, USA
via Atlanta, Georgia a li'l spot where
young men & young women go to experience
they first li'l taste of the nightlife
Me? Well I've never been there, well perhaps once
But I was so engulfed in the Old "E"
I never made it to the door you speak of hard core
while the DJ sweatin' out all the problems
and the troubles of the day
While this fine bow-legged girl fine as all outdoors
lulls lukewarm lullabies in your left ear
competing with "Set it Off," in the right
But it all blends perfectly let the liquor tell it
"Hey hey look baby they playin' our song"
And the crowd goes wild as if
Holyfield has just won the fight
But in actuality it's only about 3 A.M.
and three %%%!$@ just don' got hauled
off in the ambulance [sliced up]
two %%%!$@ don' start bustin' [wham wham]
and one $%%%* don' took his shirt off talkin' 'bout
"Now who else wanna +*%@ with Hollywood Cole?"
It's just my interpretation of the situation

I'd probably say Biggie is the best ever but I think that Lupe is the best right now and could be the best ever after his next couple albums. No one can tell a story like he can right now.

IMO 3000 was a lot more lyrical than BIG with his story telling but BIG still has something in his stories that stacks didnt. (cant quite put my finger on it)

w/ that said.... BIG and 3000 for 1st and 2nd
