Dope ****. What gloss or whatever did you use on those floors? How long did it take to dry and for the smell to go away.?

Have a newborn and cant have that **** lingering in the air.

I used sampson polyurethane (gloss) ...for me i give it a day for stain then i put a coat of sealer down ... buff the following day & lay poly down (depending on how fast sealer dries like on sprig & summer days il put sealer & poly down same day so thats a 2day process for stain & poly) but colder days il give it a extra day of drying so 3 days .....the smell lingers around for days cant really give u an exact fime for that

respect i may follow that method and keep the chirrin away for a week or so

Nice thread... Hope it catches some steam...
Neat work everyone 👌

Here's an outdoor table I built last summer. Got the drawings of some blog that I unfortunately don't have bookmarked. If I could find it I'll post the link...

It's essentially 2x4 lumber put together to form 4x4 legs for the base. The drawings called for a standard tabletop built out of some 2x10s. I decided to go with a concrete tabletop instead.

Built the form out of 3/4" melamine board and poured the concrete on a weekday after work. Huge mistake. Lol. Caught myself racing with the sunset. Plus I was working alone. PHEW.!

anyways. For my first time. I think it came out ok. Big hit with my family and friends.

Seeing my family gathered around the table, eating and hanging out, 10 deep on a Sunday afternoon. Priceless.

How difficult was this table top to pour?! Looks great

here's one of the most useful items I've ever made, it's a portable display shelf

But I just put it on top of my fridge and charge my phones on it LOL!!! as well as hold reminder notes and moleskin sketchbooks

once again measurements are golden ratio / fibonnaci sequencing

The person who taught me everything was this old dude...

One day he showed me a piece of wood with a drawing of his face when he was young

he legit looked like the zodiac killer LOL!! He was making a shelf and one day he brought all these old cameras and stuff....

I was telling this other guy and he was like "That makes so much sense" LOL

it really be a formula to Everything

Anyways... I messed up some Cedar Wood this morning trying to make a display for my Grandma but I'm trying to save it .... I cut the joints too deep and the connections are weak...

One thing that will always outdo a bunch of golden measurements is to "JUST DO IT"

love it, sir. How do you add the color? Paint?

Thanks, man. I appreciate that. To answer your question though after I burn it I color it with colored pencils and then apply a couple coats of modge podge so the color stays. I have a few more that I’ll post later.
