Would you break up a fight at work?

We had someone terminated at work today and it could've went left. Nothing physical happened but the police was called. The employee left before they arrived.

As a black man I see no upside in getting involved. Thats between hr, upper management and law enforcement if need be.

it’s different at my job. we’re like one big dysfunctional family but we’re still kinda close. i’ve broken up one fight before it got past the shoving stage. most times it’s just shouting matches and i’ll let it go for a short while before i tell em to shut up.

If I'm cool with one of them i may try to prevent it in the beginning but if i look up and see blows, chances are I'm chilling.

If we're close friends and they're getting pummeled, i can see myself getting involved somehow.

If i don't know them then i might as well be seeing a fight on my timeline.

No. Breaking up a fight

1. Puts you in danger
2. Messes up their fight
3. Usually immobilizes you dude while the other gets free hits

I would. I don't like seeing people fight. I think it's dumb and almost never worth it. One punch could change both person's lives. But I can make a change if I stand between them. We must stand for peace.

Best response

On that note...
