He knew he wasn’t going to be automatically put in a program with Reigns coming back to WWE. He’s probably making good money and is going to be on a much bigger stage to give him potential to make more.

Prior to getting hurt, Champa was in feuds with guys like Styles and Lashley for the US belt due to being associated with Miz. Not bad.
I don’t really care about the Lumis stuff, but him and Oregano are getting plenty of airtime due to being associated with him. Reed beat Oregano for the NXT NA title prior to him getting released, so it makes some sense to involve them again.
Whether YOU like it or not, if you’re around Miz, you’re going to be on TV plenty. And that’s better than a bunch of the random midcarders can say.

Nah Fam, Miz is that dude. He may not be some technical wizard, but he's an over act that Jonah could be successful with. This is Triple H's WWE, so there's hope for Jonah to succeed in this.
And Alex Riley would've been a success, but he got in his own way. It happens because wrestling is a crazy world, but at the end of the day, it's a business. Ciampa was a Vince thing, which we knew wouldn't work. ShowMiz was fine. Miz and Morrison was great their second go around. Who else has he been paired with? Logan Paul is an anomaly that's perfect for wrestling, but Miz still assisted in getting him over.

Jonah would have been the perfect guy to introduce with vignettes and with references to what he’s been doing since he left.

When it comes to being a PRO and being there for the company when it comes to appearances/engagements, sure Miz is the man.
When it comes to being a decent in-ring HAND, sure the Miz is serviceable.
But we aren't going to sit here and pretend working with the Miz is this sort of "Rice of Patches" Mid-Boss that wrestlers need to go through on the quest to become a bigger/more relevant star.
If anything associating with that dude just tells the world, "Eh, you ain't worth a damn."
I am NOT saying Jonas should be pushed into the World Title Picture Immediately, but he has shown that he has the ability to compete on a Main Event Level as a monster wrestler.
Unless he is being used as THAT, WWE is just wasting his time.
Of course, it should be a progression and him jumping right to the top is out of the question but he should stay FAR away from the Miz.
