I did last night and that #*@* had me terrified. It was the first time I've ever had it and I thought something crazy was happening to me. Anyone else?

What exactly is this? Because something weird happens to me occasionally in my sleep, and its similar to what ya'll are describing. It feels like im having some sort of seizure, and i can hear everything and feel everything, but i cant really breathe and i cant move at all, and my heart feels like its going to pound out of my rib cage. Is that sleep paralysis?

When your body goes into deep sleep, you're paralyzed. When you wake up too suddenly, you don't unparalyze (is that even close to a word?it)
All you gotta do is stop trying to move for a couple seconds and you're good to go. Now when it happens to me I know the procedure so it don't even phaze me, but man that first time....
same thing as me, but I still sleep on my back sometimes because my cousin is in the room too, so I won't be scaredOriginally Posted by SpeakUp23
The last time I had it was last summer I believe. The was I prevent it is by not sleeping on my back. And when ever I feel it coming on I wake myself up by kicking by legs and moving my head as hard as I can
when i got out of it i seen this dark rigid shadow/cape thing leaving my room. scariest thing ive ever seen. sleep paralysis is no joke
I seen the same thing too years back. This black cape looking thing with red eyes quickly flew into my wall, and woke me up to see somepornography commercial on t.v.
