Late to the Pegasus 39 party but here’s a quick review in case it’s helpful for anyone.

Got the regular 39s recently from the Eastbay sale… they look and fit and feel closer to the 36 than 37/38, which is a good thing in my book.

Shield 39 looks less boot-like than the 38, let’s see if that translates to feel and performance… I went back to my 37 Shields after a little while with the 38s.
Curious to see what the Shield versions look and feel like — as someone who has to run in the rain what seems like three quarters of the year, they’re a mainstay for me. I much prefer the 37 Shield to the 38 equivalent — the former still feels like wearing a running shoe while the latter often...

The gray, silver, and white ones are okay, might have to wait for some “team” colors to get a white/black or see if they do any brighter colors later. Seems like summer...
Made a rare trip to a Nike factory store this weekend hoping maybe I’d find something at a nice price. I seem to strike out more often than not — but I found a pair of Pegasus 36s priced at just $35… for my wife. No such luck over in the mens shelves, but I guess it’s good to know great deals...
I think that’s referencing the lifestyle-centric Waffle models, not referring to the waffle-shape outsole of Pegasus.
