The Air Jordan II was the new model in 1986. I remember the prices of all sorts of stuff from 30+ years ago. Shoes, video games, hamburgers, candy bars, etc. I regularly buy $200 Nikes at the Nike outlet for $50. Not sure why it's so hard to believe a $65 shoe went on clearance for $25.

All the early retros rotted on shelves, but yes it got particularly ugly for the Jordan I. They were marked all the way down to $19.99 at one point at Just For Feet.

I was one of those that ordered the infrareds from NDC the second they were released, only to get an email a week later saying the order was canceled. I've been furious about it for weeks, so boy was I happy tonight to buy the shoe from footlocker for $135!

Picked up the silver/black pair at Finishline today for $100. Couldn't pass them up. Had the original on release day as a kid and really loved them. Somehow I missed that they'd finally been retro'd. Glad I went to the mall today. Had no idea these were back. $100 great price too.

Never liked the Flightposite II. Bought the OG all black colorway on release day and just never liked the way they felt. I was a very loyal Foamposite/Flightposite fan, having bought every launch colorway on release day, but I checked out after the Flightposite II. Don't think it ever sells well...

88 minutes of pending and I just now finally got the "sold out" message. So ridiculous. I literally hit buy immediately at 10am and pasted my password within 2 seconds. Loyal Nike customer for 30 years. Was even a Nike sponsored athlete at one point. There's gotta be a better way than this.
