I finally have the emeralds. Compared to the pair I owned in 1991 I noticed 4 major differences. First off is the obvious black instead of gray on the bottom of the shoe. 2nd the green is quite a bit lighter in color. Also the insert is pretty funky compared to the original green and black. And...

Release date for the denim is Jan 29th (officially ) some stores are releasing them early. You can find plenty on ebay for way below retail.

IMO emerald>volt>university red>spurs>aquamarine>bleached denim. What's your thoughts? Unless they make a black emerald or volt then those 2 go on top respectively.

Has anyone compared the weight of these to the originals? I don't remember these being so heavy. And yes I did wear the same size when I was 15. I was thinking of getting a pair to wear on a regular basis until they just fall apart just like I did when I was younger but wow these are like boots.

Black emeralds, black volts, he'll ya! I'd be all over those! Give them to us nike! Not too many of us dig pink.

They have been popping up early (expect spurs). I am just waiting patiently to find out if they will do a normal release of the emeralds. Some one said they will come out last. Maybe in april.
