Not at all, man. Not even a little bit. The only cause for concern through the whole ordeal is not bending the end of the shoe string when you're pushing it through the fabric. It took me about 45 minutes to do both.
I used a really small screwdriver to puncture the mesh and a slightly larger screwdriver to bore the hole for the laces. Used the adidas logo as a template for the center holes and used the line where the caging used to be for the outside holes. The laces are the Rosh 3M laces from **************.
