Late to the Pegasus 39 party but here’s a quick review in case it’s helpful for anyone.
First of all, this was the second straight Nike running model where I’ve had to send back my initial pair (first was a midsole on the first run of Streakflys that arrived torn)… there was something wrong...
Got the regular 39s recently from the Eastbay sale… they look and fit and feel closer to the 36 than 37/38, which is a good thing in my book.
Only problem is that the insole on the right shoe is somehow a little too small and doesn’t sit right on my inner arch. So they’ll be going back and I...
Shield 39 looks less boot-like than the 38, let’s see if that translates to feel and performance… I went back to my 37 Shields after a little while with the 38s.
Curious to see what the Shield versions look and feel like — as someone who has to run in the rain what seems like three quarters of the year, they’re a mainstay for me. I much prefer the 37 Shield to the 38 equivalent — the former still feels like wearing a running shoe while the latter often...
I can’t say I love the first run of colors, would love something simple with bright accents — something like the Streakfly…
The gray, silver, and white ones are okay, might have to wait for some “team” colors to get a white/black or see if they do any brighter colors later. Seems like summer...
Made a rare trip to a Nike factory store this weekend hoping maybe I’d find something at a nice price. I seem to strike out more often than not — but I found a pair of Pegasus 36s priced at just $35… for my wife. No such luck over in the mens shelves, but I guess it’s good to know great deals...
I think that’s referencing the lifestyle-centric Waffle models, not referring to the waffle-shape outsole of Pegasus.

That’s not to say the shoe won’t release next week, I just don’t think that particular copy is connected to the Pegasus launch.
Late to the game but I finally got a run in with my Tempos I bought last year (which I was already late to the game with at the time). I’m sure it was part placebo effect and part uncharacteristically nice weather, but I ran noticeably faster than I’ve been going in recent months — closer to my...
39s look like a mix between the 36 and 38, no?
I've been getting super minimal colorways of the Pegasus — white/gray 36s, white/black 37s and 38s, blacked out Shields — but I think I want something a little more fun with the 39s, even though those clean white/gray ones above are super tempting...
+1 on Pegasus. Don’t overthink it. I’m thinking that if you’ve only got a month, that’s all the more reason to go with a versatile workhorse over something more specialized.
I’ve been running in the Pegasus line for about two years now — they were great at 10–12 min mile pace when I started out...
Thanks — I had been thinking about the Endorphin Speed at some point based on recommendation from a friend I trust.
That said, like many here I will readily admit to being a lifelong Nike fanboy... :D
