I like this kid James Horner. He plays good enough defense, and he makes great plays for his teammates. He's the kind of big guy who makes his team better. Has a knack for boards too. Hope he stays with the team.

My perfect scenario? He develops good enough PG skills and he can handle running the team with Melo and Amare out there.
Most likely to happen this season, he's out there alongside Bibby or Douglas so he gets his chances to run the offense at times.
Although with the way Douglas plays and what I've seen so far today, he'll probably be injured by week 3.

laugh all you wnat about the lakers but we got way better big man depth than last year. none of those guys can replace odom because hes so versatile but who the hell was our back up center last year? ratliff never played, character was too small. joe smith never played. i dont even know...
now please trade away fisher and blake for a speedy point guard and were set... at this point anyone is better than those two piles of crap

Doesn't matter if his jump shot improves he will be a nice player.
Dude already has 2x the vision of Toney Douglas and a way better ball handler/athlete than fields so he will be starting in the backcourt sooner than later.

Yep! Our big men depth is a lot better than last year. Ratliff and Joe Smith were ancient players. The best part is we got McRoberts & Troy Murphy cheap as hell.

Troy Murphy was supposed to be a big that could stretch the floor. Was debating between Miami and Boston coming down the stretch for the playoffs. Was supposed to be a 'good pickup' for either squad. Chose Boston, no burn. Free agency starts, no interest. Troy will be a non factor IMO.
