I honestly thought the Messi to City rumors were trolling...crazy that it has some traction. Obviously as a City supporter this would be amazing...but if i were messi...idk if i would want to go to england.

That Higuain quote has merit when he said that England defenders just kick you. A 33 year old Messi in the prem getting ripped down and kicked every game....i wouldn't want that.

I thought Barca would do whatever it possibly could to keep him. Just seeing Messi in another jersey is strange to me. I never really was able to remove myself and think well if he wants out where would he go?

I just always thought this was a situation where the media reports he wants out and its all just to get the board to get him some help

It makes sense because his best friend Aguero is here and Pep. I hope Messi and Aguero can ride off in the sunset together after playing for City and semi retiring and going back to play for their boyhood clubs in Argentina.

it's a lot to explain
but long story short messi has power to end his contract after every szn. the deadline already passed this szn and he didn't inform barca he was going to leave in the agreed time he was supposed to. his lawyers are saying the szn was extended so his deadline should be extended also. his buyout clause is like 700 million euros.
now we don't know what's going to happen but we do know he wants to go to city. the way some of the veterans were treated in this off szn seams to have influenced this decision especially with suarez.

i think the two clubs end up striking a deal with money and players.

Thats the reason the shorter technical la liga players flourish over there. He has a huge advantage. La liga has been failing to stop Messi his whole career...the prem only has a couple weeks to prepare. If aguero was a problem then messi is eating
