Issues seem to come from a place where people say they want to come into the thread to escape what’s going on. However, this sentiment in itself is a privilege to have, the privilege to turn away from what’s going on, opting not to see or bear witness because it makes you uncomfortable. Please, take a step back and see how that in itself is a luxury privilege that’s afforded to people who aren’t in those situations or directly affected. POC don’t have that privilege and have to go on living that reality every waking day of their lives and it’s deplorable that this is even a reality. They can’t just turn away or go somewhere else to escape because it’s a constant issue.

My definition of getting away and escaping was in Niketalk terms and context, not in real life. There are so many hateful and toxic things going around the site now the Footy thread is the only place I feel like I can just chill because I know a lot of us are first generation Americans or POC and even if you're white, people that post here are all cool. We all have similar opinions about the things going on in this country and I'm sure many of us had had our jabs at the doofus in office.
The only reason why I defended him was because I didn't want toxicity in the thread. He kept posting things and trying to ignore it but yall kept bringing it up. The reason I posted about my upbringing was because where I'm from, the term ghetto never had the negative meaning that some of you guys have from it. Even people are still telling us to stop the bickering so I would rather move on. Just DM me if feel the need to follow up with me but I refuse to be cruficified without defending myself.

Yea, I knew that. That why I posted it because I know Rooney has been Messi > CR7 so he doesn’t have a bias.
I posted it because I think what Rooney said is sort of true. City have Foden coming along with other world class playmakers, they don’t really need Messi. They need a World Class striker much more.
That’s why I think it’d be better for Messi to go to Inter because he’d actually have much more of impact there. But Messi will decide City of course (if he even leaves).

but fr the word on the City side of things are they are hoping he's able to use that clause and be signed on a free and then just work out the wages as that would be a much easier deal. If its for a fee the club would reconsider but depending on the fee would still at least try. Now what that deal that involves a fee would look like no one really knows right now a lot of speculation, 100+2 players 150+ plus a dude straight cash lot of reporters just throwing guesses out there
