Apparently the club are gonna go all in for a new CB this summer to partner with slabhead and are ready to offer £40m for Varane who's heading into the last year of his contract before he can sign anywhere on a free next winter
Outside of him, Kounde from Sevilla and Pau Torres for Villareal have been linked heavily lately

I don’t mind the CBs we are being linked with. One thing forsure, two things for certain we certainly overpaid for maguire however, we fall apart without him. Deff need another CB and one with wheels. However, Jones and axel gotta go. I would prefer Vic going but I doubt it.
I also like Rice, I’m just against that English tax. No way we do varane, rice and sancho.

Barca broke though...even free transfers are a burden.
I would argue Barca should only pickup augero and depay before the defense is sorted out.
Barca have scored way more goals than any other team even without a striker. Also, Ansu who would’ve probably been the 2nd leading scorer, has been out all szn.
If Barca would’ve signed a word class defender, instead of front loading they would’ve easily won this li liga title.
Barca has been using 2 Barca b players both under 19 and one legged pique all szn as a back line and it shows.

We’ve been using araujo and mingueza. They both are academy players. They’ve done well but it’s a huge burden for such young players.
That’s the difference though. if you look at the cb pairings from the top 4, barca’s are the least experienced. Pique shouldn’t be playing but he had to. Frenkie even had to play as a cb for a good stretch.
Barca is picking up Garcia though. Still more needs to be done.
i think i sympathize with united more now cause i feel like that's what life after messi will look like.
unfortunately, we don't have Ole to save the club.

Just hope the clubs are able to work something out to both sides advantage since they want to keep Lingz permanently.
Agreed on a pacey CB also being a must so I wouldn't be mad with the other alternatives if Varane doesn't happen.

with all do respect to bruno, what ruben dias has done for city shouldn't be overlooked. especially his showings in europe...dude has become the best CB in the world.
along with the runaway PL title, it probably should be ruben.

If Spurs where higher up the table Kane would be the POTY no doubt. He’s about to finish the season with the golden boot and leading the league in assists. But Spurs being in 7th not doing him any favors for consideration.

That’s true I do think Bielsa is doing a good job I just think taking west ham from escaping relegation last season to Europa this season (I’m pretty confident they will finish 6th) is a shoe in for MOTY
