2 FFP violations in the last 6 years.....Man City should be fiscally monitored to the HIGHEST degree for the next 10 years.

What a joke
It is not that serious bruh, probably laundering dirty money or just really bad accounting. Its SPONSORSHIP money and figures. Nothing related to the pitch, fans, players or transfers.

I’ll be fine and the club will be fine. This was bound to happen with our boards continual questioning of the legitimacy of FFP and contentious relationship with UEFA
So it happened because your board questioned them, not because you did anything wrong?

No they did do sometning wrong but antagonizing then over the legitimacy of FFP in court after them backing down from the legal challenge last time was unwise

Armada Armada is a man city apologist. Always trying to tell you that **** is sweet when in reality the house in burning from the inside out.
Excuse me for being a fan when people stay talking nonsense about my club. Am I supposed to sit back and say nothing?

The difference between city and psg is that psg actually makes a lot of money ofF of sponsorships.

city is still a small club Just with big pockets

Yes, but you're trying to tell us that this nothing major when everyone know this is serious. It's as if you're drinking the Kool Aide. Hell, at this point, it's not even an if.

Im not saying it’s not major it obviously is. I’m correcting some misinformation and stating that the club will be fine. Am I wrong to think we will survive this?

If we tried to purposely cheat the FFP system, we deserve punishment.

FFP is in place for a reason but with today's money I'm sure we're not the only club trying to cut corners. We just happened to get caught.

Its embarrassing but everyone on social media and the pundits all have their pitchforks out like we paid off the refs or something. FFP is relatively new anyways, I cant imagine all the dirt and backdoor deals the "big" clubs did back in the day.

Funneling your Prince’s money thru sponsorships to deceive FFP is a big deal.

Not quite sure how that’s not a big deal....

It absolutely is.

If this stays as 2 years City can find themselves in long-term levels of Man U irrelevance. They can bounce back from a 1 year ban, but ✌!! Pep will be gone (maybe he already had a feeling this would happen,) recruiting top young talent will be extremely difficult, and there’ll be departures from key players and others winding their contracts down. Also Man City loses massive revenue without European Footy. I assume this will further force their hand into selling in order to avoid further FFP punishment.

One thing that raises questions about this is how PSG has gotten away with this. It leads me to believe at least one of two of these: PSG pays off people in UEFA to avoid punishment and/or Qatar put money in the hands of people in UEFA with the specific intention of damaging their mid-east rival.

Swear bro, it's like we got to apologize and agree with everything posted in here or something :lol

Theres only 2-3 of us City fans we probably the most level headed, nothing we say is getting through when it comes to defending City. Definitely not with Pep and rumors about our players at times too lol.

One thing I will say about the argument against FFP is there is a level of legitimacy to arguing that its main intent is to preserve the status quo of football.

But when you take a step back, there is a positive purpose of going against the status quo of the entire world outside of football. Maybe not every institution of the world should have to completely bend over for the mega-rich. As in that type of rich from Saudi Arabia that has Trump ignoring the murder of a journalist and serving interests of other autocrats/oligarchs. And FFP is a way of finding a middle ground between insulating the systems of football from being overly-influenced by inorganic investments (that often comes from pretty vile people,) and still allowing the extra injection of capital into the game that, to some extent, smaller selling clubs often benefit from and player salaries become significantly improved from.

At its core, I like what certain aspects of FFP was implemented for especially with what you mentioned already.

I just find it funny other clubs, presidents, the media and etc are crucifying City for this but turn a blind eye into their own wrong doings. The president of La Liga commenting on City doesnt even realize how themselves cripples their own clubs with huge disparities in revenues and pushing to play La Liga matches outside of Spain to put more money into their own pockets.

Nvm PSG but Barca especially in the last few seasons spending hundreds of millions on Neymar, Saurez, Dembele, Coutinho, FDJ just because they reap in the revenue and sponsors the smaller La Liga clubs can never attain. Big clubs will remain, big clubs it's hard for smaller clubs to break into the next bracket no matter how even the playing field is.

How about owners who buy up clubs but dont spend to compete and just reap in the benefits? Feeder clubs who sell, sell, sell and are contempt with making money to balance the books but never aspire for more?

None of those mentioned things I mention preserve the integrity of footy either but its not breaking FFP so it's all fine.

I feel in City's case, if we did, tried to manipulate loopholes to gain financial advantage so we can buy more players or balance the books so we can compete and win. Whether from ownership or certain individuals although in a wrong way, at least in my view as a fan, are actually trying to make the club better. That's why I feel like it's not as atrocious as everyone is making this out to be.

Shrugs

get your football money up
Barca is barca because of the continued success of the club. They didn’t just all of a sudden get bought by a sheik. This is years of continued success through the foundation of la masia.
Lemme know when you win a treble with majority academy players and win 9 out of the last 12 league titles with a core of academy players

don’t compare city to Barca. it’s not the same at all

matter of fact y’all wouldn’t be **** without Barca. Your whole board and philosophy is a diet la masia. All ex Barca

I didnt compare City's financial situation to Barca. If you re-read what I posted I was pointing out how Barca can spend so much compared to smaller La Liga clubs within FFP because they gain so much from winning and sponsors. Even with FFP theres huge disparities because how big and reputable Barca is. It's not a knock on Barca it's to show FFP isnt really what it seems because the big clubs will always be the big clubs.

The business model, academy maybe Barca-esque now but Pre Guardiola I dont think City resembled anything like Barca. Mancini and Pelligrini had completely different tactics and styles. We dont owe anything to yall.

If this 2 year ban holds up they said City stands to lose about 250 million in revenue from CL football  They're gonna be done in these streets for a while if it's upheld

You are joking right?
You don’t know who the executives are at your club? Do you know your director?

ungrateful little clubs can’t buy history...and cant even get your own fans to buy tickets

Yea our board was designed to resemble their model prior to pep With the end goal of bringing him in. The staff hires where very intentional. It didn’t look it on the pitch yet but they was the end goal

Even with Txiki we didnt get Pep till what 4 years later? He wanted Pep to come but no one thought that would be a reality till he finally did.

What do we owe to Barca? Just our director who handles the business and transfer side of things? Or are you talking about how we play? Or eventually got Pep?

City fans in here today
