has Odegaard really regressed that much? If so that’s pretty sad. At Sociedad he was looking like a sure bet to become world class.

Real Sociedad was the perfect system for him. But we forget that he is young, he's a good signing with a high ceiling. If I remember correctly, the system at RS was a 4-3-3 with a mobile striker. Thats how he best operates. His stats last season were good but I think he'll improve and hopefully his goal/assist tally as well

He didn't ball out like he did at RS but he did well enough to improve our squad. I think he would do better with some system and personnel adjustments. I'm sure all of Arsema would

I don't know if I would even necessarily call it "hype" as in he's world class right now, but people are excited. He performed alright and wasn't the worst part of Arsenal's season last year. Plus he's young and with the proper talent around him there's potential. With Lokonga and Partey behind him, he might be able to push farther up and link up with Auba.
