Why y'all acting like Conte would've propelled this team to glory. These players would still be bums under him...They are too soft and don't have the drive or ambition, the second Conte would criticize them they'd throw a fit and just stand around the pitch putting in zero effort.

Board wouldn't have backed Conte on transfers either, they'd debate and deliberate over it for weeks and weeks and then maybe bring in one **** player who they end up overpaying for.

They don’t watch the matches and/or don’t get what’s going on at United. Also, people acting like the United job is the same as the Spurs job is funny. Conte is a great coach but we would be in the same spot two/three years from now after he would’ve inevitably fell out with Murtough with maybe 1 more FA Cup or EFL Cup in our cabinet. Murtough hiring the brains behind Red Bull’s sporting project for a consulting role and the coach who has Ajax playing some of the best football in Europe is the hard reset that is needed.
