I'm actually really impressed with Cescs accuracy with that ball, put that ball through a needle

Is there any backstory to Cesc's pinpoint headshot? :rollin :rollin

Apparently Lacazette's unsatisfied with his contract situation in Lyon...8o
i see him at city or PSG.. would love him at united but I think we are after genuine world class talent not potential at this time

Those world class caliber players are hard to come by and sign away from their clubs and we havent really had the best luck recently when it comes to signing formerly world class number 9's like Flacao. At this point I'd take potential if we cant get the likes of Muller,Lewa or Cavani. The latter seems perfectly built physically for the prem if he played in his natural role instead of on the wings like at PSG.

In any case Id much prefer Laca over someone like Danny Ings whose names been thrown around lately :lol.

Please no cavani. Dude is not consistent enough man..

I've felt the same way for a while but man is he good when he's in form and he seems like he'd be able to match the physicality of the league unlike El Tigre. It makes sense that he's been largely inconsistent at PSG since he's been playing out of position because of Zlatan.

Mentioned him because he'd probably be a much more realistic option than either of the aforementioned Bayern duo. Muller could be tempted by his relationship with LVG but I doubt that the club would allow him to leave.

I came across an interesting/funny stat,in 2 seasons Bale already has more goals than Becks or Owen combined during their 5 seasons at the Bernabeu :rollin

Fact: Ander Herrera has now scored more PL goals in his first season at United than Jack Wilshere has scored in his entire Arsenal career.

Mourinho>>>>>>any football manager when it comes to off field entertainment :lol :hat I like watching Arsenal and root against Chelsea but also love how Mou trolls Wenger 24/7 :lol

Edit: Looks like that's not word for word what he said, but knowing him it's definitely what he meant

"Let's blame the players a little bit, let's blame myself, let's blame the top contenders for the title because they were not good enough to fight with us until the end."

Lol same dudes trying to use numbers to prove one point will dismiss a statement based on numbers to refute another

Anyone with eyes has seen that Bale hasn't played at an acceptable level. Dude set a high bar tearing up the PL at a young age and has regressed. And I also fully expect him to stay and try to prove himself because I bet he's even more disappointed in himself than any fan and knows he's capable of a crazy amount more.

MLS planning to expand beyond 24 teams; promotion-relegation unlikely

MLS commissioner Don Garber expounded on a wide range of topics pertaining to the league on Friday.
NEW YORK -- Having committed to reach 24 teams by the end of the decade, Major League Soccer intends to develop additional expansion plans within six months.

MLS launched with 12 teams in 1996 and cut to 10 in 2002. There are 20 this year following the additions of New York City FC and Orlando City SC, and the league already has announced Atlanta and a second Los Angeles team will start play in 2017, with Minneapolis to join in 2018 and David Beckham to own a Miami team whose start date is uncertain.

"In the next six months, we've got to come together and develop a plan with our ownership to determine when we go further, because we will," MLS Commissioner Don Garber said Friday during a meeting with the Associated Press Sports Editors. "We will expand this league beyond 24 teams. It's not an if, it's a when."

MLS POWER RANKINGS
- May 11: D.C. United remain top of the pile
- May 3: Espindola inspires D.C. United to the top
- Apr. 27: Red Bulls hang on to top, Dallas drops
- Apr. 20: Red Bulls impress again, Caps climbing
- Apr. 12: RTimbers fall as the Red Bulls go top
- Apr. 5: In-form Vancouver moves into first place
- Mar. 30: Red Bulls on the up as Dallas stays top
MLS says cities expressing interest included Austin, Texas; Sacramento, Calif.; St. Louis; and San Antonio; and to a lesser extent El Paso, Texas; Indianapolis, and Las Vegas.

Most first divisions around the world are 18 or 20 teams, and most have promotion and relegation from the lower leagues. Garber says the league is different because "our teams are not clubs, they're local businesses."

"I believe that we can expand and manage a league far larger than we are today without having to contemplate promotion and relegation," he said.

"I will certainly tell you in the near term, and that near term is a long time from now, there's not going to be promotion and relegation. It makes absolutely no sense. There is not a developed secondary division. We have union agreements. We have national television deals. We have investors that have put in billions of dollars. It is not going to be something that could be managed in anytime soon."

While MLS announced a deal with Beckham for a Miami team in January 2014, no timetable has been set because of the lack of a stadium location.

"Miami will be in Major League Soccer by the end of the decade," is all Garber would specify.

MLS commissioner Don Garber spoke with ESPN FC's Taylor Twellmann about the new CBA agreement and proposed next round of expansion.
"We had two mayors push us to waterfront locations, and then we were not able to finalize a deal on those sites," he added. "Now we've got to say: Are there other downtown urban locations that make might sense for us? And we believe there are several, and that's what we've been working on."

Garber said he expects an announcement on a stadium site for the second Los Angeles team within 30-45 days and said for the New York City team "we're recognizing it's probably going to take longer than we thought." Co-owned by the New York Yankees, NYCFC started play at Yankee Stadium.

"There hasn't been too much buzz about playing in Yankee Stadium or a baseball stadium yet," Garber said. "That will happen soon, after somebody trips on a divot perhaps and perhaps misses a ground ball, but we hope that doesn't happen."

In Minneapolis, the league opted to award an expansion team to a group that wants to build an open-air soccer stadium and turned down the Minnesota Vikings' owners.

"What could be better than having a group of successful sports guys, NFL guys, be unhappy that they haven't bought a soccer team?" Garber said. "We just wanted a downtown soccer stadium."

With new eight-year television contracts with ESPN, Fox and Univision and attendance growth, Garber said "we're riding a wave of shifting demographics and a country that is so dramatically different today than it even was when we launched 20 years ago."

"That millennial population from 18 to 24 and 24 to 35, their second favorite sport after the NFL is professional soccer." he said. "We need to have that not be professional soccer but to be Major League Soccer."

Still, revenue growth hasn't ended the league's financial losses.

"Where we need to be financially is to have a more valuable television product and be no different than the other leagues, whether it's the Premier League or the other American-based leagues, and have media be our primary revenue stream," Garber said. "Today our primary revenue is tickets, our secondary revenue is our stadium income and our third revenue is media. That needs to shift literally and be turned upside down."

Im sick of you :lol

Sorry...lmao

And e rumors are bale is pushing for a transfer...which I fully expect. Madrid is a brutal city.

**** bale hasn't even learned Spanish yet...wtf
He just doesn't have the mental stability to play for Madrid. As soon as he starts to think his game regresses. And la Liga is the most technical league.
