Yea I always liked Podolski but he's kinda a tweener in any of the 4-2-3-1 type formations. Can't really operate as the point and not dynamic enough to be a good fit on the outside.

To answer your question, I would play him at the 9, even though Wenger has said that he performs better out wide.

I think playing Podolski as the 9 would seriously limit the effectiveness of the front three mids. Would make things far to easy for the opposing two CBs and and by extension the entire backline.

I posted a few pages back some updates on Lee Seung-Woo & the Korea U16 side who got beat by the N. Korean team in the finals. Well, the women's team got beat by the N. Koreans in the semifinal last week & the men's national teams for both countries met yesterday in the Asian games final which Korea won on pretty much the last kick in the 120th min... I actually feel bad for the N. Koreans because who knows what will happen to them when they return home.
