thats just a rumor though... if he finds his form id be more then ok with the transfer.
I thought I'd post it because many different outlets were picking it up but you're right, still nothing official yet. Probably won't be until the summer. Agreed, hoping he can get the chance to play a full 90 minutes soon.

Apparently David Silva's out for 3 weeks.

They aren't soccer fans. Can't expect them to know Maradona...lets not be snobs now just because.

No excuse. I'm not baseball fan at all, in fact I can't stand baseball but I know who Babe Ruth is.

Hell, Diego is top 3 famous name in the most popular sport in the world.

You also grew up in America, so that's to be expected. Soccer didn't have that reach in America when Maradona was doing what he does....hell we barely get soccer highlights on US sports channels now. It's not shocking to hear people don't know who he is.

Falcao's out again

Most Americans don't even know American history so I don't expect anyone to know or care about a sport that isn't as popular here than elsewhere. Who cares. I do find it amusing to see the cavalier attitude about it but oh well. :rolleyes

I wonder if there is truth to El Tigre being older than he really is...

Which errors are you talking about dad? It's def the "their/there" right?

The one that was pointed out to you in that Maradona thread... Your vs You're... ;)

If your you're a sports fan and don't know who Diego Maradona is you've definitely

A) Never been on a plane

B) Have barely ever left the small radius you call your neighborhood

C) Can't spot more than three countries on a map in each continent.

Oh please, I was drunk last night watching and celebrating my Knicks win and ruin LeBron James homecoming, I think I may have even took a couple xany bars. I don't know, things got weird.

But you're acting like I'm an habitual spelling error machine. Stop that. I bet you can't find a post in here where I misused your/you're.

:lol We all make grammatical mistakes including myself. I just thought it was funny that you made one while wagging your finger in that thread. No biggie...

Watched some of the Red Bulls vs SKC off the dvr, Ian Wright's boy is on a tear scoring a brace. One to level the score & the game winner in the 90th min... :smokin Bradley looks like he's having an awful lot of fun playing with Thierry Henry (as one should)...

Yea, maybe I deserved to be humbled by that. I just remember getting mad at that last night and wanting to be a douchbag about it :lol

Now that I think about it, it doesn't surprise me at all that most Americans don't know who Diego Maradona is.

Most American can't even name the first 5 presidents or tell you how many amendments there are in the Constitution... You expect them to know who Maradona is? :lol :p

Yo, is there really an award for Best South American Player?

uw0tm8

When's there gonna be a best north american award?

Or best eastern european player award

or best asian player award

Trophies based off of location rather than position in the field are silly....

If we're gonna give awards based on location, then messi should take the best south american award and be a contender for ballon d'or :|

or best asian player award

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has such an award. The 2013 winner was Zheng Zhi a midfielder for Guangzhou Evergrande FC in the Chinese Super League. They also have a best international player award for those that play in leagues outside of Asia. Last year's winner was Inter's Yuto Nagatomo. :D
